JSC „Saulės energija” produces:
The main service of the company UAB “Saulės energija” is installation
of small-scale power sources based on renewable energy for various
users: for schools, colleges, universities, for homesteads, small
farmsteads and summer cottages, for companies and enterprises mostly in
remote localities where public electric grid is not available and in
other special cases when usage of the standard AC current is not
acceptable because of safety or other reasons. The company installs:

Small-scale wind turbines,
Hybrid small-scale solar-wind power sources,
Demonstrative solar, wind and hybrid power sources,
Solar electric shepherds,
Small-scale solar fountain,,
Posts of solar energy monitoring,
PV power sources for posts of traffic intensity,
PV power sources for guarding systems of remote objects far from electric grid,
PV power sources for feeding electronic equipment of yachts, trailers, gliders, etc.
The greater part of
company’s production is being exported. Till 1998 there was a small
local market of PV modules only for educational purposes, for feeding
of electronic equipment as well as for recreation and tourism.
Currently the local market of PV power sources is growing slowly but
constantly. Such power sources are competitive in remote localities,
which have not public electric grid and where demand of electricity is
not high. Another reason for installation of PV, wind or hybrid power
sources is a low reliability, stability and quality of the supplied
electricity parameters in some localities.
